Our Story
VerbumCare was born from personal experience. Our founder, Dr. David Kim, watched his mother struggle with the administrative burden of running a small care facility in Taiwan. Despite her passion for caring for residents, she spent endless nights completing paperwork, often until 2 AM.
"I saw how the system was broken," David recalls. "My mother's facility provided exceptional care, but the documentation requirements were drowning her team. I knew there had to be a better way."
With a background in AI from Stanford and experience building healthcare systems at Google Health, David assembled a team of healthcare professionals, AI experts, and aged care specialists. Together, they spent two years understanding the unique challenges of aged care facilities in Taiwan and Japan.
